Archery Club 02/16/11

Feb. 16th  was the last Archery Club meeting of the year and it was a blast. The students started the day by taking a post-test. The post-test consist of labeling the parts of the bow. After the test we began warming up by shooting at 5 yards. Once each student shot a couple of times the competitions began. The students participated in 3 shooting competitions. During the first 2 competitions students shot from 5 yds. The objective of the competitions was to shoot the most arrows in zone 9 and 10 of the target. The final competition of the day was a girls vs. boys competition. During this competition the objective was to pop the most balloons. The ballons were placed on a target 10 yds. away. This time the girls got the best of the boys, because they were victorious. Also, students that had perfect attendence in Archery Club received an archery pen at the end of class.
