Every year Owensboro Public Schools(OPS) promote a Fine Arts Festival. This festival is a week long and it showcases OPS stundent's fine arts talent. This festival takes place at the Riverpark Center. During the Fine Arts Festival, all OPS schools perform a dance. The middle school and high school bands perform. Each school choir performs. The OPS drama clubs perform and student art work is displayed. Each year the Fine Arts Festival has a theme. This years theme is "We Are the World".
Mrs. Jill Head and I work together every year. We always choose 2nd graders to perform our school dance. This years dance is called Jai Ho. Jai Ho means victory and it's from the country of India. Mrs. Head choreographs the dance and teaches it to the students. I assist Mrs. Head during practice.
